The Droid X from Motorola that was available online has been sold out completely. Even in Best Buy stores and Verizon wireless, which stated on Wednesday that it is prepared with a lot of stock is now suffering to satisfy the demands. Verizon has announced that only by July 23 it will get its supply and so, we have to wait till that.
Verizon has timed it right to answer the Apple’s iPhone 4. Droid X is a valuable addition to the Android family of Verizon, which has got features like 4.3” inch screen, 8 mega pixels Camera, HDMI out, and 720p video recording.
Verizon would not want to repeat the same demand problem that happened for HTC Droid which will only be shipped by Aug 9. On Wednesday, Verizon said to CNET that, “It is doing everything it can to satisfy the customers demand”.
When you try booking the Droid X online, you get a message indicating that “the next shipping will be on July 23”.
Verizon replies to the shortage in an official statement:
The Droid sales were excellent on the first day. There has been people standing in lines from the midnight to buy the Droid X in a shop, in some other there was continuous entry by the customers and in some there was a constant line developing from the time the shop was opened. We were trying our best to take care of our demands, but now it is completely sold out or going to be sold out sooner. We have intended for shipping by July 23 and so the customers can are allowed to order even now.
