Droid X joined into Apple’s reception problem page
This is looking to be out of control. On Friday, Apple has targeted yet another SmartPhone on its page for antenna performance problem, which is Droid X.
The Droid X (recently added to the Apple’s page) was launched after Apple’s Press Conference, which was held to discuss about the reception issues in its iPhone 4 and to and give away free cases, but finally commented that not only their products but also other smart phones having the same problems.
The Apple’s page consists of the list of phones facing the reception problems from several producers like Samsung, RIM, Nokia, HTC, Apple (added this week) and now Motorola joins the list.
Apple has commented that, “When the Motorola’s Droid X was held in a particular position, the signal bars dropped from 3 bars to no bars at all”.
Talking fair, Apple’s video indicates that the Droid X was not held in not so different way, not like the illustration of the death grip of Droid Eris, which was indicated at MacWorld by Lex Friedman by saying, “this won’t affect the signal badly unless you want it to be done deliberately, in the sense if you want to leave your finger into it….”.
A few does not accept Apple’s view of reception problems on the Droid X. Engadgets said that, “Comparing Apple’s older videos, we were not able to reconstruct this video for our Droid Xs”
Also, Computer World’s Preston Gralla did not have any problems. On 15th July Gralla said that, “When I need to do an outgoing call with my Droid X, I just make the call. No new duct tape or bumper or new cases are needed. But this is not the case in iPhone 4”
Does this mean that Apple is having fear about the newly launched rival Droid X Android mobile from Verizon? This may also be the reason that the Droid X has made fun of the iPhone 4’s reception problem during its launch and some goes past by saying “Even Apple’s latest offer (free cases) has been overwhelmed by Droid X”.
